Joseph Leung

Joseph Leung serves as BreatheIT’s Chief Technology Officer, a role he assumed in December 2023. Joseph plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology strategy and roadmap. Under his leadership, BreatheIT launched its flagship Lifestyle and Wellness platform, Ultopia AI, designed to enhance well-being and address lifestyle-related stress through technology-driven solutions.

Prior to joining BreatheIT, Joseph was the CTO at Commerce Canal, where he launched Purvey.AI, an e-commerce analytics SaaS platform. He was responsible for overseeing solution design, architecture definition, technology strategy, product roadmapping, security, and quality assurance. His previous roles include CTO at Javlin Invest LLC, a FinTech SaaS company, and CTO at Adapt Live, a health and lifestyle company. Joseph is also the founder of ButterJAM LLC, a software consulting firm that has delivered critical software solutions and large-scale data management systems for major clients such as the Port Authority of NY/NJ, NY State Thruway Authority, NYC Department of Education, Healthcare Leaders of New York, and the Society of Asphalt Technologists of NJ.

Joseph holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union. He currently resides in New York City with his wife and three daughters.
